Simon Announces New Executives
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Simon Property Group (NYSE:SPG), a global leader in the retail real estate industry, today announced the addition of two executives and promotions within its Premium Outlets division.
Chidi Achara has been appointed to a new role as the company's Global Creative Director, with responsibility for all branding activities, marketing creative and advertising execution. Achara has experience working with many of the world's leading brands including Levi's, Dunhill, Polo Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Salvatore Ferragamo, TAG Heuer, Diesel and Cole Haan. He also founded and ran the luxury division of the global advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), and is an acclaimed fashion photographer whose clients have included British Vogue, Alexander McQueen, Pepe and Galeries Lafayette.
Peter Baxter has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Luxury Leasing, with responsibility for expanding relationships with Simon's best luxury brands around the world. Most recently, Baxter was with Value Retail in Europe where he was responsible for leasing and asset management across their portfolio and directly engaged with many luxury brands. Both Achara and Baxter are based in New York.
Within the Premium Outlets division, Mark Silvestri has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Silvestri will be involved in all strategic aspects of the Premium Outlets business and will work closely with Simon's executive team to drive our growth in the outlet business. Silvestri previously served as Executive Vice President, Real Estate for Premium Outlets and has been with Simon Property Group since 1995.
Larry Weinstein, currently Senior Vice President of Leasing, will assume responsibility for all development leasing for new Premium Outlet Centers and expansions. Weinstein has been with the company since 2001. Coleen Conklin has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, and will lead all marketing and communications efforts for the global Premium Outlets portfolio. Conklin previously served as Vice President of Marketing and has been with Simon Property Group since 1998
