Life Time and Simon to Enhance Consumer Experience at Southdale Center with Planned Athletic Resort
First New Life Time development in Minnesota in 10+ years to include rooftop pools and beach club among wide range of healthy living, entertainment amenities

INDIANAPOLIS and CHANHASSEN, Minn., June 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Life Time is coming to Southdale Center in Edina. Life Time®, the nation's premier Healthy Way of Life Company and lifestyle brand, and Simon, a global leader in premier shopping, dining and entertainment destinations (Simon Property Group, NYSE: SPG) confirmed the planned, three-level, 120,000 square-foot athletic resort will occupy redeveloped space where the current J.C. Penney store is located with an expected opening in early 2019.

Through the collaboration, Life Time and Simon are transforming the former anchor space to better serve the evolving needs and demands of time-starved consumers. Life Time's planned healthy living, healthy aging, healthy entertainment destination at Southdale Center will be the first-of-its-kind in Minnesota for Life Time, which currently operates 23 other destinations throughout the Twin Cities metro and 127 across North America.
